We try to provide you with the latest trends as well as the tools and skills you need as a transportation professional by offering several avenues for your professional development and education.
ignITE is a non-technical, on-demand training series designed to equip transportation professionals with essential management and career development skills. While technical expertise is a strength in the field, success in transportation organizations also requires strong leadership, communication, and administrative capabilities.
This program supports career advancement by covering a broad range of topics including project management, people and administrative management, communication, and self-awareness. It’s a practical resource to help professionals build the confidence and competence needed to manage projects, lead teams, oversee budgets, and communicate effectively.

ITE Educational Foundation offers practice exams and refresher courses for the Professional Traffic Operations Engineer® (PTOE), Professional Transportation Planner® (PTP), Road Safety Professional®, Level 1 (RSP1), and Road Safety Professional®, Level 2 (RSP2) certifications.
The ITE Learning Hub provides professional development opportunities for you to maintain your P.E. license and AICP, PTOE, PTP and/or RSP certification(s). ITE considers unique state continuing education and training requirement when developing our webinars in an effort to provide a well-rounded portfolio for our nationwide audience.
ITE has set up the Professional Development Record-Keeping System as a tool for transportation professionals to keep track of credits earned. Units of activities entered in a log will be converted into Professional Development Hours (PDH) or Certification Maintenance credits (AICP). The log created by the ITE Professional Development Record Keeping System conforms to the guidelines set forth by the National Council of Examiners for Engineering and Surveying (NCEES). ITE augments its own educational offerings with webinars and courses offered by partner organizations, such as the Consortium for Innovative Transportation Education (University of Maryland) and McTrans Center (University of Florida).
ITE Talks Transportation is a collaboration between ITE and Bernie Wagenblast, founder and editor of the Transportation Communication Newsletter and host of Transportation Radio. Each month, a new podcast features a thought leader within the transportation industry. A new episode will be available the 4th Tuesday of every month.
