A Road Safety Audits (RSA) is a formal evaluation of the safety performance of an existing or future highway segment or intersection performed by an independent, multidisciplinary team. Experience from around the world has shown that RSAs are very effective at positively influencing safety outcomes and ultimately contributing to reductions in fatalities and serious injuries on our roadways. As with most practices, RSA experience and knowledge continues to evolve and improve over time. Practitioners find new approaches, tactics or techniques that enhance practice and achieve heightened results.
The webinar will bring together experts from various parts of the world to share how they see RSA practice today, areas where new approaches are making a difference, and what road professionals can expect in the future. The presentations will focus on ways in which RSAs have been implemented in countries with a focus on specific approaches that have made RSAs more effective and impactful. The presenters have knowledge and experience of RSA applications across their state, country, or internationally.
It is anticipated that the webinar will influence individuals to initiate the use of RSAs or modify their current approach by incorporating new elements to make them more effective. The webinar will also generate dialog and action within the ITE community for advancing the knowledge and practice of RSAs within their membership community.
