Each year, the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) sponsors an awards program to honor outstanding achievement in transportation engineering and distinguished service to ITE. The awards bestow international recognition upon the recipients and increase the public’s awareness of the role and responsibilities of the transportation professional.
Transportation plays a vital role in the economies of all countries. Yet transportation professionals currently are in short supply. As part of its program to attract bright and articulate individuals to the transportation engineering profession, ITE also has established several fellowship and scholarship awards specifically for graduate study in the field of transportation. These fellowships provide financial aid for qualified students to pursue graduate degrees in transportation in a variety of programs.
