The report covers transportation planning, engineering, management, and operation advancements and will benefit the industry's leaders and professionals in the public and private sectors. The Developing Trends Report Task Force reached out to all ITE Councils and Standing Committees to identify trends relevant to their scope and expertise.

Transportation and Climate Change Action Hour
Students will conduct online research to learn more about a topic related to transportation and climate change and present their findings with a call to action based on their findings. The presentations should consider how the topic is part of a larger transportation system and provide steps needed to implement the action. The evaluation rubric should be used by facilitators and students to guide development of the presentation.

Safety Benefits of Autonomous Driving Exercise
This project allows students to conduct online research to learn more about safety benefits accrued at each of the levels of autonomous driving as defined by the Society of Automotive Engineers (SAE). This is a topic related to transportation trends and technologies, further intended to educate an audience of their peers. Students are then to assemble in teams and present their understanding of each level of automation as well as pick the level of automation they believe will clearly provide the most safety benefits while minimizing driver confusion and challenges in adoption. The final product for this project is a group presentation to an audience that may include other students, teachers, and/or parents.
