The ATC 5501 System Requirements Specification for Cybersecurity v1.03 defines a structured set of baseline cybersecurity requirements intended to guide the design, development, and deployment of secure systems. Version 1.03 outlines controls for areas such as access management, system hardening, data protection, network security, logging, and incident response. By aligning system architecture and operational processes with the ATC 5501 requirements, organizations can establish a consistent security posture, reduce vulnerabilities, and support compliance with broader cybersecurity and risk-management frameworks. The specification serves as a practical reference for engineers, security teams, and program managers responsible for integrating cybersecurity throughout the system lifecycle—from initial design through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
