Right-of-Way Allocation

Transportation professionals working in Complete Streets have been active over the past decade in the advancement of policies, guidance and projects that result in the allocation of right-of-way for all users; however, gaps remain in practice for implementation and institutionalization at a national level. ITE identified six case studies within five transportation agencies that it would like to share with its’ members and the profession as valuable examples to share and learn from. These agencies are delivering new planning and design guidance with a foundation of safe, equitable, efficient, and cost-effective roadway projects.
