Parking Gen Data Collection Week

Help ITE Provide Transportation Professionals
with Critical New Data in Three Easy Steps

As we develop the Parking Generation Manual, 6th Edition a key question is "what does parking demand look like in a post-COVID-19 environment?" We are requesting that each one of our more than 18,000 transportation professionals helps us gain additional insight into this question and assists with the creation of the next Parking Generation Manual.

Through June 18, we are asking each member to count the number of vehicles parked in three different settings. If every member provides three data points, then that will provide ITE with more than 50,000 pieces of data that will be expertly compiled and analyzed.

Entering the data takes less than three minutes. It is as easy as

1) Select a place to count.

2) Count the parked vehicles.

3) Enter data here. This platform is both mobile and desktop friendly.

As an incentive, all individuals who participate will be eligible to win one of THREE $100 Amazon gift cards. The more data points you collect the more chances you will have to win. For each data point submitted through June 18, you will receive one entry in the gift card drawing.

Data can be collected for ANY land use during its peak parking demand period. Listed below are sample land uses with guidance on when to count.
