About our speakers:
Carlos Iván Rivera Gonzalez is an assistant professor in the Gerald May Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at the University of New Mexico. His line of research aims to advance transportation systems and supply chains that simultaneously achieve efficiency, livability, and environmental objectives. His research focuses on the interconnections among urban economies, land-use and transportation systems, and supply chain efficiency to accomplish this goal.
Lisa L L. is an assistant professor at the Gerald May Department of Civil, Construction, and Environmental Engineering at the University of New Mexico. Her current research, supported by the U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), the New Mexico DOT, the University Transportation Center system, and private foundations, focuses on developing transportation solutions that promote community health through behavioral changes. She is currently the Assistant Director of the Center for Pedestrian and Bicyclist Safety and a member of the TRB Standing Committee on the Implications of Transportation Choices and Access on Public Health (AQC14).
