ITE Council, committee, and group meetings are open to TRB meeting participants and ITE members. You are welcome to join the meeting(s). The meetings will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center (where the TRB Annual Meeting is taking place).
The Transportation Planning Council will host an executive leadership meeting that is open to all interested participants. We welcome anyone who wishes to engage in the Council’s work. The meeting will focus on collaboration and the finalization of the 2026 Council Action Plan, with discussion topics expected to include multimodal transportation impact analysis case studies, rethinking the functional classification system, people-centered mobility and the concept of movement and place, strategies for urban freeway repurposing, approaches for applying the Safe System approach within the master planning process, and methods for understanding and using the Safe Systems Pyramid for planners.
