ITE Council, committee, and group meetings are open to TRB meeting participants and ITE members. You are welcome to join the meeting(s). The meetings will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center (where the TRB Annual Meeting is taking place).
Join the Safety Council meeting to participate in discussions related to ITE’s transportation safety efforts. ITE launched the Safety Roadmap and Action Plan in January 2025, and the Safety Council will explore which actions will apply to their Council in 2026. This meeting will provide an opportunity to engage in discussions on topics such as kinetic energy as a key factor in road fatalities and serious injuries, as well as Safe System approach implementation within public agencies.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn more and provide input on the Council actions for 2026 for the Safety Council and its Committees, including the Transportation Forensics and Risk Management Committee, the Vision Zero Committee, and the Data-Driven Safety Analysis Committee.
