Webinar Description:
Transportation systems are increasingly challenged by hazards, disruptions, and changing environmental conditions, making resilience a critical consideration for transportation professionals. This Back to Basics webinar will introduce the fundamental concepts of transportation resilience and explore how resilience principles can be applied across a range of contexts, including transportation operations, coastal environments, inland flooding, and wildfire impacts.
Through presentations from resilience practitioners and an interactive discussion, participants will examine how transportation systems can better withstand, adapt to, and recover from disruptions. The session will also highlight opportunities to incorporate resilience considerations into transportation planning, design, operations, and future workforce development.
