This webinar is led by the ITE Ethics Committee.
Webinar Description:
Do you know what ethics are? Have you considered how ethics impact daily engineering choices? Have you ever had an ethical decision that arises in a project or in the workplace? Did you know that ITE has a Canon of Ethics for the members to follow? This webinar, Ethics Considerations for Transportation Professionals, will answer these questions and provide a foundation for understanding professional responsibilities and ethical conduct within the field. Through a series of real-world case studies, attendees will explore how ethical principles can be applied to everyday challenges and professional interactions, gaining insight into how integrity and accountability shape effective transportation practice.
In addition to case study discussions, the session will include an overview of the ITE Committee on Ethics in the Transportation Profession, highlighting its role, ongoing activities, and opportunities for active participation. Instructors will share their experience and perspectives to help participants strengthen their understanding of the importance of ethical consideration in their daily practice. This session is especially valuable for new ITE members, as well as existing members seeking to refresh their knowledge of ethics principles. Participants are encouraged to verify with their local licensing agency whether this webinar qualifies for ethics-related professional development credit.
