Webinar Description:

About 10% of highway congestion is caused by work zone, resulting in an estimates $700 milling in fuel costs annually. According to, 672 fatal crashes occurred in work zones in 2018, including 124 workers. The goal in any work zone is to maximize safety, maximize mobility and accessibility, and build projects as effectively and efficiently as possible. This webinar will review the development of an effective Transportation Management Plan (in compliance with the FHW “Work Zone Safety and Mobility Rule”, discuss temporary traffic control and operations strategies, explain how to implement the Transportation Management Plan, plus discuss other practice issues and emerging trends. This webinar is based off of Chapter 15 of the Traffic Engineering Handbook.
