Women in ITE (WITE) 2025 Boot Camp #2: Navigating Career Growth: The Power of Coaches, Mentors, and Advocates

Webinar Description:

Building a successful career requires more than just technical skillset it also depends on the guidance and support of key figures who help navigate professional growth. In this webinar, we will explore the distinct roles of coaches, mentors, and advocates, and how each plays a critical role in empowering women at different career stages.

The boot camp will feature a panel discussion with three professionals who actively serve in these roles, alongside a fourth panelist who has directly benefited from their support. Each panelist will share insights from their experiences, highlighting how these relationships have shaped careers and opened doors to new opportunities. Attendees will gain an understanding of when and how to seek out these relationships, as well as strategies for leveraging them effectively. The discussion will include guided questions followed by an interactive Q&A session.

Learning Objectives:

  • Define and distinguish the roles of mentors, coaches, and advocates/sponsors, including their unique contributions to career development.
  • Recognize when to seek out a mentor, coach, or advocate based on career stage and professional goals.
  • Identify strategies to establish and nurture these relationships to maximize career growth and leadership potential.
  • Gain insights from real-world experiences shared by panelists, offering practical takeaways for building a strong professional support system.
