Modern practices in the planning, design, and operation of urban uninterrupted-flow facilities involve the implementation of policies, strategies and technologies with a focus on improving overall system performance for all users. Providing transportation improvements that are economical and adaptable to changing demands and user preferences is a core principle in the modern planning and design.
