Navigating Roundabouts: State Approaches to Guidance and Implementation in the U.S.

When: June 17, 2025 | 2:00 -- 3:00 PM ET

This webinar is led by the ITE Roundabout Committee

Webinar Description:

This webinar explores how different states are encouraging the use of roundabouts through a variety of approaches—including formal policies, planning frameworks, and evolving evaluation processes. Presenters from New York and Texas will share their state’s current practices, highlighting both established policies and procedural tools, such as Intersection Control Evaluation (ICE), that support increased consideration of roundabouts in transportation projects.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the key elements and benefits of roundabout focused policies at the state level.
  • Describe the challenges and successes encountered by states like New York and Texas in implementing roundabouts.
  • Gain practical insights into how roundabout-first policies can be integrated into local transportation planning and project development processes.
