Modern Roundabout Operational Analysis Tools

When: Tuesday, December 7, 2021 -- 2:00 - 3:30 PM ET

This webinar is led by the ITE Roundabout Committee

Webinar Description:

This webinar provides a unique opportunity for participants to learn about the applications of at least three software analysis and simulation tools for the study and design of modern roundabouts. The webinar will begin with an introduction and history of the operational analysis methods for evaluation of roundabout capacity and queueing. Each of the speakers, experts in their fields in the application of the software, will provide an overview of the software tools and how they are utilized for roundabout projects. Each presenter will showcase an example roundabout project and supporting analysis with inputs, outputs, summary and results. In this webinar, questions will follow each of the presenters to avoid confusion of participants at the end. The moderator will provide a synopsis of the presentations and questions.

Learning Objectives:
Attendees of this webinar will be able to:

  • List the various options for evaluating roundabout traffic operations for existing and proposed locations.
  • Recognize three software analysis tools and explain how they are applied in the roundabout operations review and how they support the design of the roundabouts.
