When: Thursday, April 8, 2021 -- 2:00 - 3:30 PM ET
This webinar was developed by the ITE Traffic Engineering Council.
This webinar is intended to discuss how the concept of level of service can be applied to multimodal environments and why doing so requires a shift in perspective from traditional approaches to level of service where auto use predominates. Well understood performance measures that relate directly to how well a transportation system is operating as a whole need to be supplemented by other measures that address the quality of travel from the travelers perspective especially when evaluating non-auto modes. The webinar attempts to distill the characteristics which contribute to level of service for different modes and to present the nature of trade-offs that must be considered in multi-modal environments to design and operate multimodal infrastructure in urban settings.
Attendees of this webinar will be able to:
Michael Carroll, P.E., Deputy Managing Director - Philadelphia's Office of Transportation and Infrastructure Systems | Philadelphia's Office of Transportation and Infrastructure Systems
