The transportation community is placing increased emphasis on the importance of transportation equity. Transportation equity considerations flow throughout all phases of a project or program’s lifecycle, including those related to how the transportation system is operated and managed.
The "Improving Equity in Transportation Operations" project conducted by ITE with support from the Federal Highway Administration developed a "Improving Equity in Transportation Operations Toolbox". This toolbox is a set of resources to help transportation professionals implement transportation operations improvements, strategies, and services with transportation equity considerations in mind.
This webinar will provide a project overview, examples of case studies from two state departments of transportation, key project takeaways, and a demonstration of the "Improving Equity in Transportation Operations Toolbox".
