Exploring Ways to Simulate Roundabouts

When: Tuesday, September 29, 2020 -- 2:00 - 3:30 PM ET

This webinar was developed by the ITE Roundabout Committee.

Webinar Description:

This webinar will help engineers, designers and planners understand ways to simulate modern roundabouts with different types of software. This webinar will focus primarily on simulation models and not on deterministic models. Simulation software will be presented for single and multi-lane roundabouts as well as models that can be used for client meetings and large public meetings. The webinar will explore how information can be taken from deterministic software and brought into simulation software to highlight how the roundabout will perform with life-like simulations.

Learning Objectives:
Attendees of this webinar will be able to:

  • Engineers, designers and planners will recognize that there are different simulation models out there and this webinar will guide them through some of these models.
  • Identify attributes of simulation software presented and how it can be used to simulate roundabouts.

Speakers:

  • Marilo Martin-Gasulla, Project Manager. Academia and Research | PTV Group
  • Alex Cole, Senior Designer | GHD
  • Ken Sides, Senior Transportation Engineer | Sam Schwartz Transportation Consultants

Fees:
ITE Members: $49.00
