When: Thursday, February 6, 2020, 1:30 - 3:00 PM ET
This webinar is sponsored by the ITE Industry Council.
In the 1990’s, our National ITS Architecture established NTCIP as the standardized interface between advanced transportation management systems (ATMS) and intelligent transportation systems (ITS) devices. These interfaces required the use of both standardized and proprietary Management Information Base (MIBs), allowing agencies vendor-interoperability between ATMS systems functions and ITS field devices.
As we now look forward to the emergence of smart cities and connected autonomous vehicles (CAV), there are many additional data interfaces desired by a broader set of stakeholders that are likely to challenge the initial design goals of NTCIP.
This session will discuss best practices for exposing traffic controller MIB interfaces and the current efforts underway to safely offer data interfaces to the many smart city and CAV applications.
