Complete Streets implementation in transportation planning, design, and implementation has been a challenge for decades in the current policy paradigm. However, innovations in technology, practice, and policy adjustments at all levels of government are helping to facilitate needed change down to the street level. This webinar will look to cover opportunities and best practices on incorporating complete streets into the transportation planning, design, and implementation process from the state, regional, and local level, plus opportunities arising from shifting policies supporting complete streets in the federal transportation program.

Learning Objectives:
Attendees of this webinar will be able to:

  • Recall what complete streets is and define key objectives to consider in planning, design, and implementation.
  • Recognize key case studies at state, regional, and local level when it comes to incorporating complete streets into planning, design, and implementation.
  • Analyze their own strategies, advocacy, and potential to incorporate complete streets principles into their work based on case studies plus shifting federal policy supportive of complete streets.
