Webinar Description:

This will be an insightful webinar where ITE Student Chapters will share their operating practices for running successful chapters. From day-to-day activities to long-term planning, student leaders will discuss the strategies they employ to ensure their chapters are achieving their goals effectively.

In this webinar, you'll learn the day-to-day activities that ITE Student Chapters accomplish to ensure success. Student leaders will share their strategies for effective planning and goal setting, as well as how they stay informed about events at chapter, section, district, and international levels of ITE. Additionally, they will discuss tips for building connections within the transportation engineering field and best practices for community involvement and volunteer work.

Valuable insights from student leaders at Brigham Young University and Purdue University who are making a difference in their communities and within the transportation engineering industry will share their perspectives.

Learning Objectives:

  • Recognize general administration tips for effectively managing an ITE student chapter.
  • Describe strategies for collaborating with other groups and chapters to drive engagement within the ITE student chapter.
  • Identify ways to leverage faculty and professional support to strengthen an ITE student chapter and enhance its impact within the transportation engineering community.
  • Recognize the importance of staying informed about relevant events happening within ITE, the community, and the university for an ITE student chapter.
  • Describe the benefits of assigning specific roles and responsibilities to student leaders focused on connecting students with the transportation industry.
  • Identify Student Leadership Summits as an excellent opportunity for gaining leadership experience within an ITE student chapter.
