Request for Noteworthy Practices Applying Safe System Approach to Speed Management a Project, Corridor, System, Program and/or Policy Level

ITE is currently requesting information on noteworthy practices that apply the Safe System Approach to speed management at a project, corridor, system, program, and/or policy level. To learn more about the Safe System Approach before submitting your noteworthy practice through this lens, visit https://www.ite.org/technical-resources/topics/safe-systems/. Noteworthy practices could include speed management programs, plans, statutory speeds, special speeds zones, and/or traffic calming that have addressed safe speeds and have been effective in reducing speed or eliminating fatal road crashes.

To submit your Safe System Approach to speed management noteworthy practice for consideration, please complete the following form by November 24, 2021. Once you have initial data from the agency, the form should take about 15-20 minutes to complete. If you are interested in providing a noteworthy practice but do not wish to complete the form, please email Sarah Abel prior to the deadline.
