The ITE Volunteer Experience

The Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE) thrives on the dedication and efforts of its volunteers. Volunteers are the foundation of the organization—serving in a variety of leadership roles within the organization. ITE volunteers dedicate their time and expertise as researchers, committee members, session and paper presenters at meetings and conferences and leaders of Districts, Sections, Chapters and Councils. Volunteers also write technical articles for ITE Journal and serve as members of the peer review panel for submitted articles.

Members that volunteer with ITE play a critical role in the development and maintenance of ITE’s programs and services. Volunteer opportunities are available to ALL ITE members, including student members.

FAQ's

“Volunteering benefits ITE by developing products that enhance its reputation as the organization of choice for transportation professionals, generates information that adds to the cumulative knowledge of the membership and improves your own creativity and reputation. Volunteering creates win-win opportunities for all concerned!”
