ITE will be working with Toole Design Group, LLC and John LaPlante of T.Y. Lin International to develop A Process Guide for Accessible Pathways to Bus Stops and Transit Facilities for Easter Seals PROJECT ACTION. The process guide will present demonstrated strategies and techniques that have been used to increase coordination between individuals within all transportation disciplines to comprehensively design pedestrian networks that connect bus stops, other transit facilities, and major destinations that embrace ADA and universal design principles. The ITE Team will produce the Process Guide containing 12 case studies of communities that have successfully created processes to improve the path of travel that enhance the ability of with disabilities—to use accessible transportation services.
