Involving the Public in Project Evaluation—A Case Study in Arizona

Typically, transportation projects are planned in response to overriding issues such as safety. Evaluation is accomplished in terms of meeting stated quantitative measures such as reducing traffic crashes. An alternative approach involved residents in a pre-project focus group and a post-project user assessment.

This study developed trip generation rates at fast food restaurants in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. The rates mentioned in Trip Generation were much higher than those found in this study.
