Application of OTISS (Online Traffic Impact Study Software) Seminar

OTISS stands for Online Traffic Impact Study Software and it is the
latest SaaS application developed by Transoft Solutions in cooperation
with the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE). OTISS is the first
cloud based application of its kind that allows transportation
professionals to use ITE trip generation data to help in traffic impact
assessments for multi-use land development. This workshop presentation
will demonstrate how transportation engineers, planners, and designers
can use OTISS to carry out trip generation analysis and key components
of traffic impact assessments and provide participants with hands-on
exercises using real-world case studies. Participants should bring their
laptops.

Transit Signal Priority in a Connected Vehicle World: Leveraging
Technology to Improve Performance Seminar

The purpose of this workshop is to assist organizations responsible for
traffic signal operations and maintenance in looking toward Connected
Vehicle solutions for transportation system management. An overview of
the U.S.DOT initiative will be the cornerstone of the Workshop followed
by in depth examples of agencies that have sought to use advanced
technology to deliver transit signal priority. A summary of existing
practice, barriers, and policies will be described as a part of the
workshop and there will be an opportunity for attendees to provide input
and perspective to FHWA and FTA staff on concerns related to the
feasibility of future implementation.
