Robust signal control hardware/firmware, telecommunication equipment and vehicle detection devices are vital for efficient traffic signal operations. Signal controllers, Traffic Management Center (TMC) equipment, video wall, communication network, CCTV cameras and vehicle detection devices should be regularly inspected for malfunction and properly upgraded to meet the changes in the demand and operational requirements.
