Transportation Consultants Council

TCC Activities and Member Benefits

We would like to remind old members and inform new members what the Transportation Consultants Council (TCC) is all about. Our members need to realize and acknowledge the benefits that the council has to offer, and at the same time, the council wishes to encourage participation from its members on how to provide better amenities that would benefit the consultant members.

The Council oversees the development of technical and management issues affecting consultants engaged in the traffic and transportation industry. The TCC has held weekend symposiums and roundtable sessions to promote meaningful dialogue among its members regarding specific issues surrounding the operation, management and administration of a consulting practice. In addition, it aims to educate members on issues facing the profession and provide updates on current events and significant issues. Member firms are eligible for a variety of discounts, including reduced rates for publications, registration at meetings and exhibiting at the Annual Meeting.

What do I get for being a member?

Regular updates on the activities of the Consultants Council and the Institute, as well as reports on issues of interest to transportation consultants.

Members receive numerous discounts that include:

In addition, members of the Consultants Council are eligible to be included in the Council's Directory of Transportation Consultants, which allows potential clients to find you quickly and easily. The directory can be searched by region, firm name, and firm specialties and provides hot-link capacity directly to your firm’s Web site or unique information you maintain in the directory

Council Members also receive special opportunities such as a private audience with world-renowned individuals who are sponsored as keynote speakers at the Annual Meeting.

The Council has also sponsored efforts to increase member profiles through: plaques designating council members on the trade show floor; council ribbons for Annual Meeting and Exhibit participants; reference to council membership in the Annual Meeting and Exhibit program; and sponsorship of a searchable Internet directory where a consultant can be located quickly by name, location and/or specialty.

Starting in 2005, the Council implemented a new program to sponsor the Young Professional Scholarship Award. The Council hopes to continue this effort in the coming years. Another important task that the Council undertakes is sponsoring and selecting the keynote speaker at every ITE Annual Meeting and Exhibit.

The Council would like to encourage participation from our consultant members in providing suggestions on the types of services they would like the Council to offer. We invite you to submit comments and suggestions at arizavi@eng-wongtaub.com.

What will it cost me?
