Related research activities are being conducted around the world. USDOT is supporting development of a tool to help researchers track and communicate about related research initiatives. While Connected Vehicle focuses on safety and mobility applications requiring wireless communications, In-vehicle Based Safety Systems research focuses on autonomous safety systems on vehicles.
